1960 - 1965 / Downtown Lorain

Steve's Variety Store andd Mayflower Lunch circa 1960 - 1965. Steve's was in business at 112-116 West Erie Avenue & 288 North Broadway from about 1960 to 1972. Steve's was owned and managed by Steve C. Demou. Also located in the building pictured is the City Employees Transit and the Cleveland Highway Bus Company.

The building was demolished in the early 1970s for an urban renewal project. Lorain City Hall is now located here.

The photographer is unknown. Written on the back of the photograph (unscanned) is "Buildings in NW corner - Broadway & W. Erie". The signature line below is "Hank B."
