Kroger Grocery and Baking Company began in 1882, operated at various locations in the city of Lorain, including 348, 1900 and 2701 Broadway, 321 East Erie Ave, 912 9th Street and 3025 Pearl Avenue. The horse and wagon in the photograph may have been photographed near their headquarters, which may have either been the 1900 or 2701 Broadway location. The identities of the men in the photograph are not known. The date of the photograph is not certain, but is possibly from the 1930s. The photographer is not known.
